Lower Back Pain and Osteopathy
Lower back pain can be either quite simple in certain cases to extremely complex in other cases. It may be a local injury or it can be related to more distant areas such as a knee, foot or hip dysfunction or lifestyle factors, or could have components of both.
As an osteopath we will establish whether you have any relevant contributing factors, and will be determined to find the causative agent.
In treatment we will use a wide variety of treatment technique depending on what has been diagnosed in your case. This could include some or all of the following
- Soft tissue massage
- Joint mobilisation
- Dry needling
- Counter-strain
- Myofascial release
- HVLA (high velocity-low amplitude)/ joint manipulation
We always aim to give you short and long term pain relief, to improve your function and to give you any relevant advice and exercises to maintain your condition and prevent any flareups in the future.
